Job Description:

The position of Principal is done for the purpose/s of maintaining overall school site operations; receiving, distributing, and communicating information to enforce school, District and State policies; maintaining safety of school environment; coordinating site activities; communicating information to staff; and addressing situations, problems and/or conflicts.Job Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to:

• Provides instructional leadership and professional development to all staff members.
• Fosters and develops a positive school culture and effective learning environment.
• Engages parents and community members in supporting a positive, welcoming school environment, supportive of all students.
• Maintains student safety and handles special cases as necessary.
• Evaluates certificated and classified staff members.
• Participates on committees pertinent to the operation of the district.
• Conducts employee investigations as appropriate.
• Maintains appropriate school resources such as budget and staffingSee all details on job posting including Additional Pay for Administrators.Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Educational Administration.
  • Five (5) years of experience as a classroom teacher required.
  • Valid state certificate to practice as a school administrator required.
  • Experience as an Assistant Principal or Principal preferred.
  • Dual Language focused school, English and Spanish speaking preferred but not required.
