Make a Difference.Title: Sr. DevOps EngineerOverview of PositionThe Sr. DevOps is responsible for the design, architecture, development, and rollout of continuous integration and delivery mechanisms that will support Change Healthcare's Enterprise Imaging solution in cloud environments.-- The individual in this role also provides subject matter expertise and technical direction to others in the team; skillfully works on projects that span a broad range of applications in multiple technical environments and utilizes business knowledge that spans multiple business areas.What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Lead the design, architecture, development of, and provide technical expertise for, all existing and new application infrastructure in cloud environments
  • Lead, and provide technical expertise on, the automation of the deployment, scaling, and overall management of the software applications that run on the above infrastructure
  • Lead and guide the design and development of reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) components; automated CI/CD, create test plans and execute testing across the lifecycle
  • Analyze data from production monitoring tools to determine areas of improvement, then design and implement the necessary changes
  • Work closely with solutions architects to assure all systems designed are in line with the Enterprise Imaging long-term strategy; create technical design specifications and assist in specifying infrastructure sizing technical requirements; review and advise on technical design specifications developed by junior-level colleagues--What are the requirements needed for this position?
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
    • 8+ years of experience in software/system engineering and/or software/solution architecture
    • 5+ years and a proven record of success in continuous delivery of cloud infrastructure and applications for enterprise SaaS or PaaS companies in public clouds such as AWS, GCP, AzureWhat other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
      • Energetic, motivated, and customer-focused
      • Exceptional critical and highly analytical thinking skills; ability to decompose complex problems, prioritize issues and implement a sensible solution
      • Able and willing to work in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment
      • Strong knowledge and working experience with cloud infrastructure including deployment and monitoring of available, scalable, secure environments
      • Strong knowledge and working experience with automation and configuration management tools, preferably Ansible
      • Strong knowledge and working experience with software containers, preferably Docker and Kubernetes, for creating and orchestrating containerized applications
      • Strong knowledge and working experience in one of more programming and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Go, C#)
      • Strong background in Linux and Windows administration
      • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written) to interact effectively with peers, stakeholders, and clients within and outside the team
      • Good interpersonal and coaching skills
      • Ability to learn quickly, independently and with minimal supervision
      • Experience working across multiple boundaries including internal and external relationships management.
      • Experience in migrating products from on-premise to cloud
      • The capability of effectively negotiating with peers without direct authority
      • Experience with HIPAA compliance and the security of PHI data
      • Familiarity with Healthcare IT standards as well as with Healthcare workflowsWhat are the working conditions and physical requirements of this job?
