hiring for Mid-Level, Experienced, or Senior Structures Stress
Analysis Engineer to work at our Everett, or Renton, WA locations.
This is a great opportunity to work in the Commercial Airplanes
Washington Design Center, as a Structures Stress Analysis Engineer.
The structures analysis engineer has a solid understanding of
airplane structural analysis methods and tools for both metallic
and composite structures. The analyst ensures the airplane has
sufficient strength to endure all conditions encountered during its
operational life. The analyst also ensures the airplane structure
meets all other design requirements including fail-safety,
durability and damage tolerance.As a Mid-Level Stress Analyst
(Level 3), you will have the following responsibilities:
- Develops, integrates and documents structural requirements to
establish the system design.
- Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the
product's environment.
- Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by
using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and
other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop
the structural environment, characteristics and performance.
- Develops test plans and configurations, supports test execution
and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems
and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Defines and documents certification and test results to
substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that
requirements are satisfied.
- Supports in-service products by investigating failures and
analyzing improvements.
- Works under general directionThis position is expected to be
100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite
at one of the listed location options.This position must meet
export control compliance requirements. To meet export control
compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R.
--120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful
permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications
(Required Skills/ Experience):
- Do you have a Bachelor's Degree or higher in one of the
following engineering majors: Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical,
Civil, or Material Science (with composite focus), and select
Structures degrees.Preferred Qualifications (Desired
Skills/Experience):
- Demonstrate engineering knowledge as a level 4/5 engineer
ideally working in a Structural and/or Aerospace industry.
- ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation
standardTypical Education/Experience:Mid-Level (Level 3)Bachelor of
Science degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an
engineering classification or a Master of Science degree with
typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering
classification or a Doctorate of Science degree with experience
from an accredited course of study, in Mechanical, Aerospace,
Aeronautical, Civil, and select Structures engineering. ABET is the
preferred, although not required, accreditation
standard.Experienced (Level 4)Bachelor of Science degree and
typically 9 or more years' experience in an engineering
classification or a Master of Science degree with typically 7 or
more years' experience in an engineering classification or a
Doctorate of Science degree with typically 4 or more years'
experience from an accredited course of study, in Mechanical,
Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Civil, and select Structures
engineering. ABET is the preferred, although not required,
accreditation standard.Senior (Level 5)Bachelor's degree typically
with 14 or more years' experience in an engineering classification.
Master's degree with typically 12 or more years' experience in an
engineering classification. Doctorate of Science degree with
typically 9 or more years' experience from an accredited course of
study, in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Civil, and select
Structures engineering. ABET is the preferred, although not
required, accreditation standard.Relocation:This position offers
