Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking passionate, engaged, and qualified Payloads Engineering - First Line Manager in Renton, WA to lead high-performing BCA Payloads engineering teams providing a variety of technical solutions and complex project oversight in support of existing and future commercial airplane products.

The successful candidate will have strong engineering expertise, ability to guide multi-faceted projects to completion, possess outstanding communication skills, and demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships. Assignment of final responsibility could be in any one of the 737 Payloads Engineering teams in Renton. Final determination will be based on best fit and alignment of experience.

Position Responsibilities:

• Keep safety and quality at the forefront of all activities.
• Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Mechanical & Structural Engineering.
• Leads development of engineering solutions for the Payloads Engineering function in support of current and future commercial airplane products.
• Provides oversight to complex projects; integrating multiple considerations including: suppliers, interfacing engineering teams, production system needs, regulations, and airline requirements.
• Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
• Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
• Manages, develops and motivates employees. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location option.
  
  The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. - 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  
  Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering related role
  • Experience leading a team, formally or informally Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
    • Knowledge of Boeing products and processes
    • Knowledge of aircraft Cabin and Cargo products
    • Experience with commercial aircraft certification processes and regulations Relocation:

      Summary pay range: $139,400-$188,600
