(737/747/777/787) within Boeing Commercial Aircraft Payloads
Organization is seeking Experienced and Senior Engineers for a
number of different positions to join our Seat Integration Team
(SIT) in Everett, WA or Renton, WA.The Payloads Organization is
responsible for everything you see when you fly; and much of which
you don't. The Interiors of the airplane, along with the cargo
compartments, exterior markings, associated systems, and cabin
safety all make up Payloads. We are how our airline customers
fulfill their mission and represent their brand and shape how the
public experiences flight. Our organization is a fast paced,
dynamic environment, which pulls from many engineering
backgrounds.Seat Engineers are responsible for managing the
integration of multiple development passenger seat programs into
our Boeing aircrafts by overseeing supplier seat designs to ensure
all customer, regulatory, and Boeing requirements are met. This
position requires the ability to work with a diverse set of
stakeholders, communicate with executive leadership and customers
located around the world, and lead/influence technical teams to
coordinate work and resolve emergent issues. Stakeholder include
but not limited to suppliers, customers, sales, supplier
management, engineering teams, regulatory administrators, and
manufacturing teams. Significant amount of domestic and
international travel is required, some on short notice.Payloads is
seeking candidates with experience in any of the following
areas:Engineering support and project leadership within a
manufacturing systemDirect engagement working with suppliers or
customersRequirements verification, management and
validationKnowledge of standard engineering practices, interface
definition, design development, requirements management,
engineering documentation, and option structureDirect engagement
working with external stakeholders and executive leadershipThis
position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will
be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements,
therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. - 120.15 is
required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent
resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required
Skills/Experience):Bachelors of Science (or greater) from an
accredited course of study, in engineering5+ years of experience in
engineering, including design, integration, and/or certification or
equivalent combination of additional education and relevant
experienceExperience leading a cross-functional teamPreferred
Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Strong understanding and
demonstrated experience with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA
equivalentExperience in aerospace interiors, materials and
properties, design criteria and release processes5+ years of
experience in program or project management, leading project and/or
program proposals of varying complexity (including: development and
execution of schedule milestones, financial assessments, resource
assessments, risk and/or issues management, etc.)9+ years of
related work experience or an equivalent combination of education
and experienceDemonstrates good problem-solving skills and critical
thinkingAbility to use a variety of media to clearly convey
information and ideas to a variety of audiencesDemonstrated
interest in continuous personal learning and developmentTypical
Education/Experience:Experienced (Level 3)Bachelor's degree and
typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering
classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years'
experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with
experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or
Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in
engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation.Senior
(Level 4)Bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years'
experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree
with typically 7 or more years' experience in an engineering
classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years'
experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or
Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in
engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation
