ENGINEER (STARLINK PROPULSION)As an Integration & Test Engineer for
Starlink propulsion you will have the opportunity to develop,
implement, and optimize production processes for key sub-assemblies
and components of the propulsion system, comprised of the Argon
Hall Thruster, propellant feed systems, and satellite primary
structure. Engineers on this team must have a working knowledge of
design, schematics, operations, manufacturing, testing, and flight
checkouts. A successful Integration & Test Engineer demonstrates
engineering intuition and critical thinking and is comfortable
working under ambiguous requirements with minimal oversight.
Combining these skills, these engineers face challenges across a
wide variety of work centers at the company, and the team is
frequently asked to tackle new, inter-departmental development
projects. The ultimate goal of the Integration & Test team is to
enable our technicians to build satellites that reliably achieve
their mission.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and develop integration line, build flow, and test
operations
- Regularly challenge each process, part, and operation while
working closely with design/development engineers to create the
most manufacturable and reliable satellite hardware possible
- Maintain a sense of holistic ownership over the production line
including process consistency, quality, tooling, capital equipment,
ergonomics, and safety
- Evaluate new design proposals for manufacturability and
reliability
- Interface with both engineers and technicians to optimize
manufacturing and automation, encouraging best practices
- Enable day-to-day execution of the vehicle integration and test
flow
- Root-cause non-conformances and eliminate causal factorsBASIC
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- 1+ years of hands-on fabrication, assembly, testing, and/or
project management experience via internships, labs, clubs,
extracurricular activities, or professional industry
experiencePREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with integration and testing of propulsion,
high-pressure, thermal, electrical, and/or structural systems
- Understanding of test methods/setups and data acquisition
systems
- Experience determining root cause of unique failures in
hardware and/or test systems
- Documentation and configuration management experience
- Experience writing test plans and procedures, and providing
go/no-go judgment and rationale
- Experience in a production environment
- Demonstrated engineering intuition, critical thinking, and
comfort with ambiguityADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Some travel to our launch sites may be required as needed, up
to 10%

neededCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:Integration & Test Engineer/Level I: $95,000.00 -
$115,000.00/per year
Integration & Test Engineer/Level II: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00/per
yearYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a
case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following
considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and
experience.Base salary is just one part of your total rewards
package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term
incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or
long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses
and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through
an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You will also receive access to

and perks. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be

federal law. Company shuttles are offered to employees for
roundtrip travel from select Seattle locations to the SpaceX
Redmond office Monday to Friday.
