Job Description Job Description Lathe Machinist We are looking for an experienced Lathe Machinist to join our team in a fast?paced aerospace production environment. This role involves operating a variety of machining equipment, upholding safety and quality standards, and contributing to continuous improvement across the shop. Key Responsibilities Alert supervisors to unusual machine behavior or production issues to support timely corrective action Suggest process improvements and contribute to optimizing machining workflows Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all shop safety protocols Accurately complete production logs, quality documentation, and other required paperwork Run multiple machines at once, including Okuma lathes, multi?spindle equipment, and manual machining tools Core Skills Strong understanding of GD&T and solid math skills for precision machining Ability to read and interpret CNC programs, including standard G? and M?code functions Hands?on experience with Siemens controls for lathe operations Proficient with common inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges Preferred Background Several years of machine shop experience or equivalent hands?on training Competency in both milling and lathe operations 5 years of Swiss?style lathe experience strongly desired Clear written and verbal communication skills Proven time?management and organizational abilities Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills What We Offer Be part of a company committed to employee development and internal growth. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tukwila, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
