Job Title: Manager, Technical Program Management
Job Summary: The Manager of Technical Program Management is an integral leader to coach, mentor, and grow their team of IT Program, IT Project Managers & Scrum Masters while also shaping the vision and strategy of the Technical Program Management Office (TPMO). Our TPMs are technically adept partnering directly with the business and while embedded within IT program teams to align and mobilize to deliver high impact business outcomes. This role actively enacts process improvements, providing structure, and establishing standards of practice. This is a pivotal role requiring influence, initiative, and creativity to ensure the TPMO is positioned to execute our mission of consistency, transparency, and strategic business alignment.

What you'll do


  • Lead, grow, and mentor a team of scrum masters, program managers and project managers, building an environment of teamwork, trust, and mutual success
  • Initiate, drive, and evangelize Hybrid Project Management which blends traditional project management practices and Agile/scrum methodologies.
  • Implement a standard of practice
  • Work with other managers to implement technical program management practices throughout the Tech Org.
  • Develop KPIs to measure effectiveness of programs and establish frameworks using program management principles that foster high quality, metrics-driven program delivery
  • Identify, develop, and sustain partnerships within the Technology Organization.
  • Be a catalyst for positive change within TPCi

    What you'll bring

    • 6+ years' people management experience coaching and mentoring both senior and early career technical program & project managers to reach their full potential
    • 7+ years working experience in IT project/program management roles with a solid foundation in project management practices as well as experience working with Agile teams
    • The capacity to understand complex systems and enjoy the challenge of solving problems
    • Experience in solving the challenges of building strong, scalable infrastructure and solutions
    • The ability to lead through ambiguity with clarity in a fast-paced environment
    • A healthy blend of technical knowledge and execution-focused mindset
    • Good balance of IQ & EQ to be able to solve both technical and social challenges
    • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
    • Agile Certifications such as CSM or CSPO or CAL preferred
    • Expertise with navigating in JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint
    • Prosci Certified Change Practitioner preferred.

        • Base salary range: $144000.00 - 218000.00. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. It is common for TPCi to start employees below the midpoint of the range. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates qualifications and experience uniquely.
