The candidate will be responsible for one or more projects and will provide technical, business and integration leadership for the Program on technical issues requiring cross-functional and cross-organization leadership. You should be willing to take on projects that you may not have full technical understanding and stretch beyond your experience base. You will be able to combine the deep expertise and resources of the entire Boeing enterprise with the flexibility and fast pace of a small company setting. You will have abundant opportunities to lead and collaborate with people from all over the world, to create and deliver innovative solutions to complex technical problems, while maintaining compliance with US and Foreign regulations regarding aircraft development, production (including delivery), maintenance, supplier engagement and flight operations.Hiring teams include:

  • 737 MAX DerivativesThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. -The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Renton, WA. (Subsequent assignments could be elsewhere in the Puget Sound).Position Responsibilities:
    • Be an integral part of supporting the 737 MAX model focusing on in-service, in-production and under development issues & opportunities
    • Lead cross-functional teams to evaluate, coordinate, implement and ensure engineering design and retrofit changes meet operational and functional requirements in support of customer expectations and overall program objectives
    • Lead cross-functional technical integration, certification and technical project management in support of resolving complex issues to help deliver airplanes, stabilize the production system, return airplanes into service, resolve supply chain issues, mitigate risks, actualize opportunities, etc.
    • Manage risks & opportunities in support of cross-functional & cross-Integrated Product Teams
    • Lead detailed investigations to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements, and to preclude safety issues
    • Communicate routinely with Internal and External Customers (peers, stakeholders, senior and executive leadership), Regulators and/or suppliers.Work Authorization:

"U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
        • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
        • 10+ years' experience performing complex engineering or system integration work
        • 7+ years' experience in leading and/or managing complex projects
        • 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior executives, customers, stakeholders, peers, and business partnersPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
          • ABET accredited bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
          • 7+ years of experience with Transport, Boeing 7-Series and/or McDonnell Douglas Aircraft
          • 5+ years of experience with US and/or foreign aircraft certification/regulatory processes
          • General knowledge & understanding of the 737 Production System
          • Commercial aircraft design and/or analysis experience within Airframe, Flight Sciences, Interiors, Propulsion or Systems Experience with certification, working with FAA regulations and Regulatory Administration
          • Experience with commercial or military aircraft maintenance
          • Project Management exposure / experience (e.g., Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI/PMI 99-001-2008)
          • Ability to quickly analyze, understand, organize and communicate complex technical concepts/problems across multiple disciplines
          • Experience with leading major design changes through multiple phases of product and certification lifecycle
          • Ability to work out of comfort zone where process definition does not exist or is unclear. Take ownership/initiative, pull teams together, establish battle rhythm and remove roadblocksTypical Education/Experience: -
            • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.Relocation:
