Department TITLE: Clinical Support Partner - Retail Pharmacy
Technician II JOB OVERVIEW: The Retail Pharmacy Technician is
responsible for supporting the pharmacists in theirduties by
providing technical assistance in accordance with department policy
andWashington State Law. He/she maintains close working
communication with pharmacistsand the retail pharmacy supervisor
regarding the various department programs. He/shefacilitates
departmental and hospital programs being carried out in accordance
withregulatory agency requirements. ROLE: See job description for

ASSIGNMENT: Retail Hospital Pharmacy HOURS OF WORK: Variable to
accommodate Pharmacy needs RESPONSIBLE TO: Retail Pharmacy
Supervisor PREREQUISITES; High school diploma or GED.Basic typing
ability preferred (30 wpm).Current licensure by the Washington
State Pharmacy Quality Assurance Commission (PQAC) as a Pharmacy
Technician.Retail pharmacy experience.Nationally certified by the
Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).QUALIFICATIONS:1.
Previous retail pharmacy experience.2. Demonstrated ability to
exercise independent judgment and discretion, with good public
relations and proper patient management skills, and the ability to
maintain positive interpersonal relationships with fellow
employees.3. Excellent customer service skills.4. Ability to
communicate and work effectively with the physical and emotional
demands of a diverse population.5. Ability to maintain
confidentiality of patient information.6. Ability to work with
Microsoft Office Programs, Epic, and other pharmacy computer
systems.8. Must demonstrate teamwork.9. Ability to multitask.

B. Unique Job Functions: Help providers and patients by greeting
them in person and by phone; answering questions and requests or
referring inquiries to the pharmacists.Maintain a safe and clean
pharmacy by complying with policies and procedures, in addition to
federal and state rules and regulations.Enter prescriptions with
efficient and accuracy.Resolve exceptions and issues in a timely
manner.Maintain an accurate pharmacy inventory.Prepare medications
for pharmacists to dispense for patients.Ability to
cashier.Knowledge of the top 200 drugs.Responsible for maintaining
basic knowledge of current medications.Responsible for making sure
that pulling, packaging, ordering, restocking and rotating stock of
medications is done daily.Investigate patient and insurance calls
regarding pharmacy billing.Ability to file prescriptions in an
organized manner.Demonstrate understanding of how to compound
medications. PREREQUISITES; High school diploma or GED.Basic typing
