Trauma Center and the only pediatric hospital in Washington’s South

Bridge is opening a new Teen Center that will provide
comprehensive, integrated and non-judgmental care for adolescent
health. FTE: .9 Shift: Day, Schedule: Variable Base Compensation:

Position Summary The Adolescent Medicine Physician delivers
comprehensive, family-centered care to adolescents and young adults
(AYA) within a clinic-based setting. This role emphasizes
preventive medicine, acute illness management, chronic disease
oversight and care coordination, contributing to the overall health
and development of the AYA population and support of their
families. Adolescent medicine physicians also serve as clinical
partners in quality improvement efforts and multidisciplinary care
teams aligned with institutional goals. These physicians
additionally participate as teachers to the next generation of
medical students and residents. Responsibilities Provide direct
patient care through scheduled clinic appointments, assessing
growth, development, physical health, behavioral concerns, and
acute conditions. Implement preventive health strategies, including
immunizations, developmental screening, anticipatory guidance, and
parental education. Diagnose and manage common pediatric illnesses
and chronic conditions, coordinating specialty care as needed.
Diagnose and manage mild to moderate mental health diagnoses to
include (but not limited to) anxiety, depression, ADHD, eating
disorders, substance use disorders, gender dysphoria). Skilled
management of sexual health and reproductive health Skilled
management of patient autonomy and health rights within a variety
of age groups in the AYA population Document encounters accurately
and thoroughly with timely completion in the electronic health
record (EHR) to ensure continuity, quality, and compliance.
Participate in care coordination with APPs, nurses, specialists,
and social services to address broader patient needs. Engage in
peer collaboration, clinical meetings, and case discussions that
enhance practice quality, safety, and teamwork. Support
institutional performance goals, including efforts related to
population health, equity, quality measures, and safety protocols.
Participate in clinical meetings and improvement initiatives,
contributing to efforts that enhance patient outcomes and
experience. Maintain license and appropriate continuing education.
Adhere to MHS Attendance and Punctuality Policy and Procedure
standards, and maintains reliable attendance Requirements Doctor of
Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an
accredited institution Board-certified or board-eligible in
Pediatrics (residency in internal medicine allowed if adolescent
medicine fellowship was completed or a combined medicine-pediatric
residency) Completion of fellowship in Adolescent Medicine Board
certified or board-eligible in Adolescent Medicine Eligible for
medical licensure in the state of Washington Demonstrated ability
to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to pediatric
populations Strong communication and interpersonal skills suitable
for working with diverse children and families BLS certification

and Benefit Expectations We provide a comprehensive benefits
package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and
retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay
transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for
candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $285,000.00 -
$332,373.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to
applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of
experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position
is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the
appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of
