a member of Google Cloud Storage (GCS) Metadata team, you will be
at the forefront of distributed systems design, working on the
industry-defining features like: Hierarchical Namespace: A
capability that lets users organize objects into folders and store
their data in a logical file system structure, as opposed to flat
namespaces. Hierarchical namespace handles higher QPS of reads and
writes; supports atomic and fast folder renames, which provides key
benefits to AI/ML workloads, resulting in faster and more reliable
checkpointing. Rapid Storage: A new Cloud Storage data storage
class that provides industry-leading Google Cloud accelerates every
organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and
industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage
Google’s cutting-edge technology, and tools that help developers
build more sustainably. Customers in more than 200 countries and

growth and solve their most critical business problems. The US base
salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$211,000 bonus
equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level,
and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by
work location and additional factors, including job-related skills,
experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can

system development code. Review code developed by other developers
and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style
guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and
efficiency). Triage product or system issues and
debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the
impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Take ownership of tasks and projects from start to finish and
deliver high-quality results, including design, implementation,
testing and production readiness. Collaborate with software
engineers within and across the GCS organization to make GCS
Metadata services be more performant, reliable, efficient,
understandable, compliant, and delight users.
