Senior Loan Processor - Remote (Local)

Position Purpose: Our Senior Loan Processor is responsible for processing 1-4 unit residential properties ensuring compliance with bank and secondary market standards. The Senior Loan Processor examines loan documentation for accuracy and completeness while working with the loan originator and other production staff to secure all required documents necessary for an accurate loan decision. This position is also responsible for conducting credit analysis in support of Residential Underwriting. This position will be primarily remote until COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, then the position will move back into the Renton office with occasional opportunities to work from home if desired.

Primary Responsibilities

Provide overall support for residential lending-includes responsibility for the flow of loans from origination to funding.
Monitor documentation and rate-locks for upcoming expirations.
Order documentation required to complete verification of application information (including credit report updates, appraisals, income, and asset verifications).
Prepare files for submission to underwriting, including pre-underwriting income/employment and asset analysis, review of appraisal and title. Follow up with relevant parties for missing documentation.
Gather, review, and sign off on underwriting conditions and prepare loans for loan doc and funding.
Communicate with the team-loan originator, management, underwriter, and borrower(s)-to ensure all parties are aware of loan status and any outstanding requirements.
Ensure the accuracy of all necessary criteria for specific loan types, products, rates, and fee structures, including accurate data input into system of record.
Other duties as assigned.

Desired Experience

At least 3 years recent residential loan processing or operational experience.
Thorough knowledge of residential mortgage lending, products, and procedures.
Thorough knowledge of FNMA/FHLMC guidelines and procedures is preferred.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, oral, written, and technical communication skills.
Excellent problem solving/decision making skills.
Energetic, self-motivated, goal oriented.
Ability to overcome obstacles and strive for success.
Ability to work well in a team environment.



Preferred Education/Training

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
