Chemical Dependency Professional
A. Under the direct supervision of a CDP, helps provides the
catalyst for change and a treatment plan for bringing about change
with a patient, offering help, feedback, validation and direction
in the process of recovery.
B. Under the direct supervision of a CDP, helps provides
counseling and case management services to patients; consisting of
individual, group, family and educational services; including
assessment, counseling and aftercare services with supervision.
C. Under the direct supervision of a CDP, helps to develop and
maintain individualized treatment plans and maintains clinical
files in accordance with agency and state standards.
D. Under the direct supervision of a CDP, helps coordinate with
agency staff in the provision and integration of program services
and case review as needed.
E. Performs other duties as assigned.
A. Meets the minimum standards for CDP trainee as defined by WAC
B. Registered as a counselor with the Department of Health.
C. Minimum of two years freedom from misuse of alcohol and other
drugs and throughout the period of internship.
D. Understands and adheres to state and federal confidentiality
E. Conducts self ethically and professionally at all times.
