ONBOARDING SPECIALIST
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic candidate to join
our team and participate in our preemployment hiring process to
provide a best-in-class new hire experience. The ideal applicant
will work autonomously and efficiently providing support for new
hires while guiding them through their onboarding journey. This
role is based at our World Headquarters in Renton, WA and will also
have front desk duties and responsibilities, as well as specialize
in activities or complete a variety of daily duties in such areas
as time & attendance/payroll support, pre-employment processes,
administration of pre-employment drug & alcohol screening, security
clearances, and parking access, as well as other required
certifications and clearances.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Serve as first in-person contact with new hires, greeting and
welcoming them to McGee and their new role with the
organization
- Support front-desk role with responsibilities of greeting
guests, welcoming new hire(s) and facilitation of site-specific
duties (supply ordering, badge collection, daily checklist of
operational functions.)
- Walking new hire(s) through preemployment activities from
welcome to drug testing to scheduling for new hire training
class.
- Assist in the coordination and scheduling of pre-employment
appointments and activities.
- Track status of, background checks, pre-employment paperwork
and facilitate all required pre-employment screening.
- Support processing of new hires, including verification of
documentation for security clearances, ensuring requirements are
met.
- Enter data into various Human Resources systems, worksheets,
and databases, maintain records and compile system reports as
needed
- Assist in supporting applicant hiring experience by providing
timely applicant updates through various communication platforms
including but not limited to text, phone call and email.
- Maintain upmost confidentiality and ensure secure handling of
applicant and team member information as well as company
data
- Prepare, organize, and maintain pre-employment and station
personnel-related records and files, ensuring accuracy and record
retention compliance.
- Enter data into various systems, worksheets, and databases;
maintain records and compile reports from systems as needed.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding
documents and conversations involving team member and human
resource matters, and all company confidential information

QUALIFICATIONS
- One year of Human Resources experience with a focus of hands-on
recruitment functions preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish
positive, professional rapport with applicants required

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and online
research tools required
- Ability to quickly learn different systems to enter and
validate data
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize effectively in
a fast-paced, highly fluid environment
- Ability to work independently with high initiative and
flexibility
- Strong organization and time management skills, and ability to
maintain thorough and accurate records. Excellent attention to
detail with a focus on producing a timely and accurate work
product
- Team-oriented and flexible in approach to change and type of
work assigned
- Passion for customer service and high expectations for quality
and accuracy
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds required
- Approximately 25% travel or more for recruiting and career
fairs
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays &
ability to read and write English
- Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance as
required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age & must be authorized to work
in the U.S.
**This is an onsite role and does not allow for remote or hybrid
work options. All candidates must reside in the Greater Seattle
area and be willing/able to work from our Renton, WA office Monday
to Friday.
