(ITD), located in Renton, WA utilizes technology to provide systems
development, consulting, voice, and data communications services to
the entire Corporation, which has high visibility in the technology
sector. - The Role The Automation Center of Excellence (CoE) Lead
will be responsible for building and leading a team to evangelize
automation throughout the PACCAR enterprise. The team will develop
and execute automation strategy and lead the efforts to advocate
for automation throughout the business. The CoE Lead provides
vision, strategy, support, and operationalization of automation
services that enable PACCAR to achieve substantial cost reduction
and business agility benefits through the implementation of
automation platforms and methods applied to business processes. The
CoE Lead is responsible for the leadership and direction in
PACCAR's automation consulting engagements. Must have strong
problem-solving abilities, be able to work both at high and low
levels of detail, have excellent communication skills and have
experience successfully leading implementation teams. Must have
leadership and management experience in an environment where
priorities can change quickly. - Job Responsibilities
- Leads the Automation CoE - forms and manages the automation
team, oversees long-term strategy -
- Implements automation vision to spread automation across the
global organization -
- Driving valuable, insightful metric and key performance
indicator reporting for the business process improvements across
the enterprise and insights to the benefit realization -
- Drives automation pipeline by prioritizing use-cases based on
business objectives, stability of current process, and return of
investment -
- Leads standardization/optimization of operating practices
across the automation program -
- Ensures adequate controls are in place to support and guardrail
automation program -
- Advocates & educates the business on RPA and manages top-down
and bottoms-up ideation efforts -
- Remains informed of trends in RPA, artificial intelligence, and
machine learning -
- Spearhead planning activities for Robotic Process Automation
(RPA) or other automation tooling and projects.
- Contributing to the ongoing automation practices and frameworks
to drive continuous improvement using tooling such as RPA,
low/no-code, or other Hyper automation equivalent platforms. -
- Creating process documents; this will include but not limited
to gathering requirements, process design and technical
specification. -
- Providing guidance and recommendations for streamlining
divisional level processes, systems, procedures, and templates as
needed in accordance with best practices. - Required Experience &
Skills
- 7-10 years of experience demonstrating responsibility in
enterprise improvement roles -
- Advanced knowledge of RPA (Technical & Functional) with high
level implementation experience
- Demonstrated superior organizational redesign experience.
Demonstrated experience successfully implementing change in complex
organizations -
- Experience in managing a cross-disciplined team and working in
a highly matrixed environment across many different functional
areas and IT leadership -
- Ability to understand the big picture, but also break down into
smaller actionable steps -
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles and application with
process improvements -
- Self-motivated, with a process improvement mindset - Education

- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or related
fields - Work Settings -
- Minimal bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling. -
- Requires frequent sitting and walking.
- Position could be required to minimal traveling up to 10%

- Ability to occasionally lift equipment up to 25 pounds. -
