We want to hear from you if you have these qualifications and skills: Substance Use Disorder Professional or Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee status per W.A.C. 246-811-010 and RCW 18.205.020. Required Has prevention or experience working with youth in school or community settings (substance abuse prevention specialist, social worker, teacher, youth pastor, counselor, etc.). Experience in substance use prevention services is a plus. Experience working with a cross-section of the work environment including directors, managers, coworkers, adults, Professional contacts, and youth volunteer experience is highly desired. Evidence of ability to maintain effective working relationships. Evidence of ability to work effectively in a stressful environment. Evidence of ability to work independently. Maintain and engage professional contacts & community partners. Flexible schedules may include shifts supervising our volunteers in-person and/or remotely from 5pm to 10pm, including regular weekends. This is what you'll be doing: Canvas and generate leads for future tabling outreach activities and active monitoring and engagement of other forms of mass/social media. Provide free Teen Link substance use prevention classes to youth serving schools and other youth orientated agencies in the State of Washington. Represent Crisis Connections Teen Link in outreach events and participate in setting up informational tabling/events and obtain leads for future outreach events. Share responsibilities of training small to large groups of youth peer mentors who are up to ages 21 years old on the topic of substance use prevention. Remotely conducting consultations on our free substance use hotline Supervise our teen volunteers on our Teen Link crisis lines remotely and/or at our Call Center. Increase Teen Link capacity by providing ideas and support around program needs. Develop accurate up-to date, and scientifically valid information to: Provide technical assistance/ coaching, information support to adult influencers who are seeking electronic support by phone, text, chat or online. Manage prevention conversations with youth, youth callers, and Department of Health (DOH), Health Care Authority (HCA) grantees and networks/coalitions statewide. Assist in maintaining and updating a community resource list, video reference list, ongoing training sessions in the region, and data reports about website resource metrics Participate in data management and reporting to DOH including Teen Link demographic data related to phone/chat/text. Coordinate cross promotional activities that include amplifying and supporting the DOH media and ad campaigns (You Can, (youth 12 to 18), You Are (young adults 18-20), and Under the Influence of You (Key influencers), and DOH tailored (culturally and linguistically appropriate) media reaching the American Indian, Asian Pacific Islander, African American, Latino, and LGBTQ populations to address disparities. Assist Youth Marijuana Prevention and Education Program (YMPEP) contractors and their partners to engage with adult influencers (parents, teachers, counselors, community members), and community groups (schools, parent-teacher groups, civic organizations, church groups, and other youth and community organizations) and events with information about how to manage conversations with youth about marijuana use. Help with DOH reports on the number of training/webinars completed with pre- and post- survey data. Participate in DOH's 2 day, annual All Providers (contractors') meeting, and other meetings requested by DOH to ensure coordination with its other key influencer engagement activities, messages, and planning.
