Job Description:
The Compliance Coordinator oversees federal and agency
compliance in licensed Foster Care Services with a specific focus
on the prevention of sexual abuse, as required by the Office of
Refugee Resettlement (ORR). They serve as the primary contact for
compliance inquires between ORR and Friends of Youth and ensure
Foster Care Services is compliant with federal, regional and agency
policies.Reports To: Director of Residential and Foster Care
Servicesessential duties Program Delivery
- Manage the implementation of and ensure ongoing compliance of
the standards to prevent, detect and respond to the sexual abuse
and sexual harassment of unaccompanied children.
- Plan and provide training to employees on prevention, detection
and reporting of sexual abuse and sexual harassment of
unaccompanied children.
- Maintain organized, confidential case files, document
behaviors, maintain logs, and compile, prepare and complete timely
compliance and requested reports.
- Provide training to employees, foster parents and youth
regarding external and internal policies.
- Assist with the ongoing training opportunities for employees
and foster parents.
- Attend and participate in the required meetings applicable to
the role.
- Prioritize and appropriately respond to urgent requests such as
audits, files and reports. Safety and Wellbeing
- Build positive relationships with youth demonstrating empathy
and non-judgement.
- Promote community, ensure and support a safe environment
utilizing preventative techniques.
- Model and teach self-regulation and effective conflict
resolution skills.
- Listen to and provide personal attention to individual
concerns. Supervision and Monitoring
- Monitor and track any corrective actions, licensing
requirements and recommendations including sexual assaults and
sexual harassment incidents.
- Document behavioral events in an objective manner.
- Record and maintain compliance reports and youth incidents and
elevate to the Director as necessary.
- Report any abuse or neglect concerns to the appropriate party,
such as Child Protective Services, Office of Refugee and
Resettlement, local authorities, etc.job requirements a. Education
and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a human-service field required
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience, including
supervisory and case management experience.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS365 Power Platform.b. Additional
Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Must satisfactorily pass criminal history check.
- Must satisfactorily pass tuberculosis (TB) test.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid Washington State
driver's license (or be able to obtain one by date of
employment).
- Must be available after hours to respond promptly to incidents
requiring immediate attention, ensuring swift and effective
resolution.
- Employees and volunteers who operate their own or Friends of
Youth vehicles on Friends of Youth business, must have a safe
driving record as defined by Friends of Youth.
- Employees and volunteers who operate their own vehicle(s) on
Friends of Youth business must carry auto liability insurance that
complies with the requirements of Friends of Youth.
- Must successfully complete the following health certification
requirements within 30 days of employment: CPR, First Aid and
Bloodborne Pathogens.
- Proof of the following vaccinations: COVID-19, Influenza, MMR,
Varicella and Tdap are required. There are no exemptions.c.
