Our ships offer innovative features and enriching experiences focused on destination exploration and personalized travel, inviting guests to savor the journey.We're looking for an experienced Senior Data Architect to fill this role. This is a hybrid, in-office position based in Seattle, working in person at our office from Tuesday to Thursday each week. You will be responsible for the strategic design, implementation, administration, and maintenance of CRM, Marketing Technology, Data Quality, data warehouses, data pipelines, and Business Intelligence systems. The role involves executing development tasks while maintaining strict SLA standards.Here's what Holland America Line is seeking in its Senior Data Architect:Responsibilities

• Evaluate business requirements to determine the most appropriate technical architecture and design patterns.
• Design, create proof-of-concept, and implement high-performance, scalable data architectures and distributed applications.
• Lead and assist DevOps engineers in maintaining CI/CD pipelines, system monitoring, and Snowflake and application server administration.
• Guide the engineering team in implementing security best practices, optimizing performance, and ensuring data integrity.
• Create architecture and design documentation and present it to the project and architecture review board.
• Support software upgrades for CRM, MarTech, data, and BI platforms.
• Assist CRM, Marketing Technology, Data Engineering, BI managers, and Scrum teams in breaking down projects into Jira tickets.
• Support change management and compliance tasks such as SOX, GDPR, and CCPA.Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in Data and Application architecture, administration, and development.
  • 5+ years of experience in data warehousing and data engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS and Snowflake.
  • Experience with relational databases like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Teradata, or Netezza.
  • Experience with Azure and OCI is preferred.
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce and Siebel is preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL or stored procedures and Snowflake.
  • Strong understanding of cloud concepts.
