Automotive Electrical Design EngineerJOB DESCRIPTION:A
contract-to-hire Automotive Electrical Design Engineer job in
Renton, WA is available courtesyof Modis Engineering. This job will
be at our client, a Fortune 500, world renown diesel truck company.
This position will involve the design of wire bundles and harnesses
for--prototype fuel cell electric trucks.--You must have experience
with the CAN Bus and J1939 Bus. You must also be willing to do the
hands-on installation work. Terms--:Contract(strong possibility to
convert to direct hire)Job Responsibilities:* Design wiring
harnesses for prototype vehicles.* Build, install and test the
harnesses.* Validate and troubleshoot electronic systems.* Some
soldering and work in the electronics lab may be required.*
Diagnose and repair CAN (Controller Area Network) protocol and SAE
J1939 vehicle bus.* Support software programming for vehicle
components. Training will be provided but prior experience is
desired.Qualifications:* Experience with CAN (Controller Area
Network) bus and the J1939 Bus.* Must have expereince designing and
installing electrical wire bundles and harnesses.* Exprerience in
the use of CAD.* Experience on road vehicles preferred.* Experience
with wire sizing, bend radius considerations, routing, etc
preferred.* Knowledge and experience with high-voltage (650 VDC)
systems preferred.* Demonstrated ability to work with a team in
coordinating the design and build of a developing project.*
Proficiency with MS Excel.* Ability to follow safety procedures.*
Soldering experience preferred.
